Distancing Socially or A How to Guide to Socializing with Loved Ones During a World Wide Pandemic

This collection of photographs is centered around the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, between April 19th and June 14th, 2020. The images focus on the social interactions between groups of people as they observe the social distancing recommendations for public safety. The project serves to positively evaluate human interaction during uncertain and trying times.

All of the photographs are shot in black and white to remove the individual references of each person photographed and preserve their anonymity. The positioning of physical barriers, natural foliage, and shadows create additional layers within the image and serve to further divide.
